Counseling Services

Infertility and reproductive loss can be devastating. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

Choose a Counselor who’s been there.

Clay and his wife started their infertility and reproductive grief journey several years ago. Going through this journey opened his eyes to the lack of resources for couples going through similar journeys to theirs. Since that time, Clay has focused his energies as a counseling researcher, studying the experiences of men, women, and couples during infertility and reproductive loss.

Clay’s specialty is counseling individuals and couples who have navigated the unique world of infertility and reproductive loss. You will find that his approach is trauma-informed, caring, and compassionate.

Our practice was built to create the resources Clay and his wife sought out but couldn’t find, so that you wouldn’t have to go through this journey alone. Our entire team understands how important it is to find the right person to help guide you through your infertility and reproductive loss journey, and we are all equipped and ready to walk through this season of life with you.

Clay’s Journey to Infertility and Reproductive Loss Counseling

Clay’s research in the field of infertility and reproductive loss has been innovative, and has quickly gained national attention. Clay has published writings on counseling couples and families amidst the infertility process in The Journal of Couple and Relationship Therapy, The Family Journal, and Contemporary Family Therapy. He has also published writings on reproductive trauma in Psychological Trauma: Theory, Research, Practice, and Policy, the leading psychological journal on trauma studies.

Clay has been a featured speaker at the annual American Psychological Association (APA) conference, where he outlined therapeutic intervention for couples struggling with infertility to a wide audience of psychologists. Clay is currently a member of the Health Care Task Force for the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care, and was a featured speaker at their 2023 Symposium in San Diego, California. Clay’s dissertation was the first study to clearly examine Gottman Method Couple Therapy with couples struggling during infertility. Clay and his wife were recently interviewed by Forbes (read the interview here), with other featured writings in Counseling Today and Psychology Today.
